About our Communications Intern position:

The Communications Intern will be responsible for curating and posting daily content on social media sites (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.) and will help manage advertising accounts on Facebook and Amazon. You will be engaging professionally with our social media audiences with relevant, interesting, and entertaining content.

This role will also be responsible for connecting with media sources, including blogs, magazines, and newspapers to help secure media coverage and publicity for new products. The Intern should be about to write effective press releases and other marketing communication pieces as needed to support publicity. You will also assist with copyediting and proofreading materials as needed.

You will help coordinate local speaking engagements and assist the author onsite as needed.

The rockstar qualities we’re looking for:

• Outstanding written and oral communications skills

• Detail-oriented

• Highly organized with proven follow-through

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms
• Ability to produce and upload quality video content using mobile devices and video editing software
• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
• Experience working with Microsoft Office
• Bonus if you have experience with graphic design, web design, copyediting, blogging and / or publishing
• Bilingual (Spanish and English speaking) is a plus
